    Talking about cheap culinary delights in Bali, there is no end to it. In Tabanan, precisely at Denpasar-Gilimanuk Street, Meliling Village, Kerambitan District, there is a food with a quite unique name, the name of this food is "Nasi Angin", nasi means rice and angin means wind. Local people around Meliling also often call it "Nasi Be Manis" or "Rice with Sweet Meat Side Dish”. This culinary menu is so popular and has incomparable enjoyment. This culinary is open for 24 hours.

A Brief History of "Nasi Angin"
    "Nasi Angin" is not rice with a side dish of wind but the name has its own history. In the past, the first person to sell this culinary was Mr. Angin. Previously, the menu of this food used beef but finally it used pork and lasted until now. Mr. Angin is a Chinese-Lombok descent who married a native Meliling woman, but they both did not have children so when Mr. Angin died the one who continued his business in Meliling was his adopted children. That is why this food is called "Nasi Angin"   

The Attraction of “Nasi Angin”
    The attraction of this culinary lies in its low price and addicting enjoyment. This food consists of pork that is processed to resemble beef jerky mixed with Balinese sugar, so it tastes sweet and savory. Plus, the vegetables from the cabbage and noodles, shredded meat and a separate warm sauce containing small cutlets. Not only that, chili sauce is also provided at each dining table so that those who like spicy can collaborate the sweet and savory taste of the pork-like beef jerky with the spicy taste of the chili sauce.

  Where is the location of the “Nasi Angin” Culinary? The “Nasi Angin” is located at Denpasar – Gilimanuk Street, Meliling Village, Kerambitan District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Indonesia. It is about 52 km from Denpasar city with a travel time of approximately 60 minutes.

    You can reach “Nasi Angin” culinary by any mode of transportation such as car, motorbike or public transportation because this culinary is located on Denpasar-Gilimanuk Street as one of the main roads in Bali.

 

Suggestion & Warning

    When you arrive at the “Nasi Angin” culinary location, if you use your private vehicle, you should be more careful when parking because the parking position of this culinary is right on the edge of the main road where many large vehicles such as trucks and buses pass.

    Nasi Angin” culinary is 11 km from Pasut Beach so it would be better if after enjoying the “Nasi Angin” you directly enjoy the beautiful vibe of Pasut Beach.
